A Message from the Club President

Welcome to the Website of the Rotary Club of Norwich, Connecticut.

The objective of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideals of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.  Rotary's organizational structure and its many customs can be complex but it is steeped in a long and rich tradition. You are invited to explore our website and it's many links to better understand what Rotary is all about and how it can play a rewarding part in your life.

Rotary is a grassroots organization comprised of Business and Professional men and women who share a common ideal of "Service above Self" .  Four major avenues of service define rotary.

* First, is club Service that strengthens Fellowship and ensures an effective organization.

* Second, is Vocational Service that encourages ethical standards in the work place.

* Third, is Community Service to improve the quality of life in one's community.

* Fourth, is International Service where 1.2 million Rotarians in 32,317 clubs located in 168 countries, can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
